Angelina Jolie: Books

Diário das Minhas Viagens - Angelina Jolie | IKMR

In 2001 Angelina Jolie accepted a radically different role as Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). This book, written as a diary, reveals the harsh reality of refugees in countries like Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Cambodia, Pakistan, Vietnam and Ecuador, which Angelina visited in 2001 and 2002.

Impressions of amazement, sadness, revolt, misunderstanding of the living conditions of about 20 million people around the world.

A glimpse of a world very difficult to understand, a world that can hardly be explained by words.

Angelina is living proof of the power we all have — every one of us — to make a difference. I was deeply moved by her descriptions of individual refugees struggling to live with dignity and hope, and found her personal commitment to be an inspiration.
